The Law
Protection
Philippine law is clear that children must be protected from abuse, exploitation, human trafficking, and online sexual abuse. Several key statutes form the backbone of this protection:
RA 7610 – The Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act
RA 9208 – The Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act
RA 9775 (as amended) – The Anti-Child Pornography Act
These laws exist because every child deserves to be safe. They set the floor—but at Fresh Hope, we believe our work doesn't stop there.
Restoration
Protection is only the beginning. Once a child or young woman is safe, she also deserves healing, compassion, support, and hope. Recovery-centered care is what helps a girl move from surviving to truly thriving—rebuilding trust, identity, and a sense of future that abuse or exploitation tried to take from her.
